When people ask Sue Baldwin to describe the type of training and consulting that she conducts with clients, "personal and professional development" is her response. Participants who work with Sue in either small or large groups learn that the material she presents will influence both their personal and professional lives. Sue supports and encourages people to look at the values and passions that influence their lives. Commitment and dedication are important concepts that will make a difference in how we interact with others as well as choose the careers that give us meaning.

Sue has been a certified doula since 2003 and works with prospective parents in the twin cities (Minnesota.)  She has also gone through training in:Family

  • Hypnobirthing
  • Healing Touch
  • Infant Loss

Doulas are for anyone who is expecting a baby and they work with both the mother and their husband or partner.  They may attend births at home, hospitals or birthing centers.

Doulas, also called birth coaches or labor support providers, give physical and emotional comfort to moms and their partners, staying throughout labor and delivery to provide consistent care when other health care professionals might change depending on their shifts.
Unlike midwives and physicians, doulas don't deliver babies or provide medical care, but they share the philosophy that birth is a natural process and not a medical procedure. Sue decided to add this new profession to her already very full life, because she is also a Hospice volunteer and feels that becoming a Doula completes the circle of life. She is now there when someone begins their life as well as when someone dies. In between the two, Sue connects with children and adults as they live the dash between their dates of birth and death.
