Eligible fibre standards for GRTS-certified products

This list of standards is derived from a preliminary, criterion-referenced assessment performed by Global Standards. Inclusion in this list does not constitute a formal agreement between Global Standards and the listed standard owners.

Production standards shall undergo a formal assessment prior to their use in GRTS. Global Standards shall work with Standard Owners for the assessment and collaborate to the broadest extent possible.

Acceptance procedures shall be adapted to accommodate governmental regulatory standards (e.g. organic agriculture regulations). Special consideration shall be given to traceable fibres produced in accordance with recognised production standards, particularly where such fibres are significant for the textile sector but no voluntary sustainability standards (VSS) are available.

This list is dynamic and shall be reviewed and updated regularly. It is hosted on the Global Fibre Registry at www.GlobalFibreRegistry.org.
